Throughout the country, families everywhere endure a myriad of natural disasters and crises and often end up losing their homes and belongings. Hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, wildfires, earthquakes, and many other disasters threaten families across the United States. Furthermore, children in these situations are often forced to leave behind their personal belongings, such as clothes, toys, and books, in order to be safe. These situations strip children of the things they need to be kids and have a secure and fun childhood.

Kids in Krisis will provide education and enrichment for children following these incidents.

Achieving Our Objectives

Kids in Krisis is reaching out in solidarity by aiding children across the country, adding fun to their lives and relieving the pressure they have on them. Following a tragic incident, these children are forced to grow up rapidly and lose the things that make their childhood so special. By providing comfortable pajamas, educational books, and fun toys, Kids in Krisis helps to bring joy into the lives of kids in need and allows them to hold on to their childhood. Our organization reflects our chosen Catholic Social Teachings (Call to Family, Community, and Participation; Option for the Poor and Vulnerable; Solidarity) because it allows others to participate in supporting members of their community, provide for people who have lost everything and are in need, and stand in support and solidarity with those at a weak point in life.
