         <description><![CDATA[<p>Self Presentation: </p><p>-Johari Window -depending on what you put up on facebook eg. pictures,<br>status updates,events etc. This is all part of your open pane. </p><p>-Cooley's looking glass self- when people comment on your photo their reaction<br> will either make you affirm or change ourselves.</p><p>-Goffman- Either cynical or sincere for example some people over edit their pictures before they upload them. </p><p>-Gergen&amp; Gergen-Self maintainence strategies- when uploading a picture you can make a comment </p><p>to protect yourself from negative feedback eg.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Self Esteem and Self Images </p><p>On Facebook, you have the ability to manipulate how you are presented on your profile. By this, you are able to get closer to your ideal self which raises your self esteem. When people give you feedback on your presented self, your self esteem increases. Also, on Facebook,&nbsp;there is no 'dislike' button therefore&nbsp;Facebook is a&nbsp;way of self maintenance. </p><p>Rogers Concentric Circle: You try to present your public self as if it is your private self, but its actually not.&nbsp;</p>]]></description>
