Richie witnesses the death of his friend jenkins during an ambush which affects him deeply

The company engages in intense fighting during the Battle of Chu Lai, experiencing heavy casualties.

Richie is wounded in action and sent to a hospital for treatment

Richie returns to his unit after recovering from his injuries, but tensions rise as the Tet Offensive begins, intensifying the fighting.

The company faces further losses and challenges as they continue their mission in Vietnam.

Richie's tour in Vietnam comes to an end, and he prepares to return home, reflecting on the experiences and losses he has endured.
