1839- The Daguerreotype was made 
It made it possible for photos to take minutes rather than hours. This sparked a lot more attention to photography. For example, Fox Tallbot and John Hersohel came out with the glass negative.

Dry plate- Dry piece of film that would be on a hard plate to capture the photo

1884-1888- Dry gel on paper is created.
The slogan "You press the button, we do the rest" is created

The Kodak company would send cameras to their customers and they with 100 photos in them, and then send them into the Kodak factory and get them developed,
