The author states the usage of fossil fuels is not going to be easy as it is like our generations (language hinders meaning). The main problems with fossil fuels are stated (language hinders meaning) as natural gas and oil will only last for few more decades. Additionally it will be really harmful for the environment because the reserves are going to be dirtier and more expensive to extract the fossil fuels in few decades. Also Human beings destroy natural habitats by converting them to human-made habitats such as cities, villages (this idea is presented first by the author, make sure you follow the order of ideas the author presents) and etc. (avoid "etc." in academic you need to be specific) The author also highlights that the effects of toxic chemicals on humans are causing birth defects, mental retardation and permanent damage to our immune which can cause to death. (you need to mention his last supporting idea which is about population?) In conclusion, The main idea of the text is that the world is in our hands (The author claims that we are the reason of all these problems but we also have the potential to solve them).  In conclusion, the purpose of the writer is that the number of people doesn't matter, the impact they put in our world matters (this is a supporting idea that needs to be mentioned earlier. The problems that are getting bigger and bigger everyday such as global warning and fossil fuel problems as i mentioned (this is summary writing, the ideas are stated by the writer), Diamond (2005) tries to force our generations (to do what?) so that the problems that happened before our generation will not wont happen again (but the problems are the ones we have created not our grandparents?)

He criticizes the usage of the energy sources, especially fossil fuels which is deeper, dirtier and more expensive than other resources, and it will involve higher environmental costs. Also toxic chemicals in our  environment, by breathing or eating  they get into our bodies and destroy our reproductive and immune systems.
Also Diamond states that world's population will be growing too fastly. If it's our consumption and destruction continue like this, people will require more food, clean air, space, water and these will cause it' increase lots off new problems. For conclusion the ideas of Diamond, he is optimist and hopeful for the future because only human can be control, change and solve the problems they have created in the world through collaboration and learning from the past mistakes.

In "Collapse," by Diamond (2005), he explains the impact of people on the destruction of nature. The author describes the harm to the environment under in four main titles. These are habitats, human activities, population rate, and energy sources. According Accounting to the writer humans are destroying natural habitats. And they are converting them to human-made habitats. Nature is our source of life but we prevent sustainability by destroying unnecessary habitats. Refer to the author here - the author also stresses that One of the worlds major energy resources is fossil fuels. But we use too much and then these kinds of fuels can make us sick and they can destroy the balance of nature. Since fossil fuels are not renewable resources, they will run out after a certain time. The writer strongly suggests using sustainable and less toxic energy resources because if we continue to use this much fossil fuel we will break the circle of life. We already cause global warming. We produce so many gases and these gases damage the zone layer. The author thinks  (use a reporting verb that makes the author's attitude clear) that we will need more natural resources due to the increasing population. (refer to the author -  the author warns that ...) That's why we need to be careful. And lastly, this article is for people to learn from past mistakes and make the world a better place. The author looks at the issue positively because if we have made this world this way, we can restore it to its former state (how can we do? what does he suggest?).

He claims that the environment is losing its natural resources, namely natural habitats, energy sources, biological diversity and soil. He goes on to prove his point by explaining how and why exactly these resources are decreasing like natural habitats due to the increased construction of man-made habitats. Other sources things (avoid the word "thing" in academic writing as it is vague in meaning) like energy sources, biological diversity and soil because the easily accessible resources are running out and in order to access fossil fuels the rest of the sources buried deep within the earth, huge fractions of our environment have to be destroyed. The author also declares that there are several toxic chemicals that are being released into the air everyday in huge quantities that are demolishing the ozone layer and leading to global warming. This release of chemicals is either a result of manufacturing industries or human activities. The author strongly believes that ‘what really counts is not the number of people alone, but their impact on the environment’ (make sure you express the ideas in your own words) and so, even thought the world’s population is increasing rapidly, this doesn’t necessarily mean the environment’s condition has to further decline (you need to clearly state what does he highlight about population?). Hence, he concludes on an optimistic note as he points out that the problems at hand are not impossible to reduce or solve. He also emphasizes on how in today’s modern world, it is easy to access information and solutions regarding these problems and that makes it easier for us to work towards it.

In “ Collapse” by Diamond (2005), the author discusses the growing damages on environment through four main categories such as: habitats, human activities, population rate, and energy sources, and how it affects on nature and mankind health. The writer explains the fast rate of demolishing natural habitats and changing it to human made lands are affecting human, animals and ecosystem. Moreover, Diamond confirms that fossil fuels will not disappear from planet but it will be harder to reach and need more processes to be cleaned which means more environmental damage. Following that (refer to the author and use a reporting verb) the use of toxic chemicals by human, which affects our daily life and causes diseases and death (grammatically this sentence is incomplete).  In addition, the author claims that human activities are the substantially reason for global worming and destruction on ozone layer depletion. Besides that he states about the rising number of population means more consumption of natural resources. He also compares between the developed and the developing countries in  about their consumption ing habits. He adds how the third world countries people are changing  their lifestyles or moving to the first world countries. To conclude, the author is hopeful because the solutions for the environmental problems that we face today are caused by us so we can stop it.
