         <description><![CDATA[<div>This group is designed for high school students- primarily juniors or seniors preparing for college. The purpose of this group is to help students that feel as though they are struggling at making decisions now and for their future self.&nbsp;<br><br>Through a needs assessment, it was determined that 76 of 87 students surveyed found a need for assistance in making decisions.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Students will receive an informed consent form from the counselor once they have chosen to participate in the group and have agreed to participate. Students will return the informed consent to the school counselor prior to the first meeting. Students must have the informed consent signed by their parents and will be given the option to pull out of the group at any time they no longer feel as though it is useful to their future goals. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><em>STAGE 1- </em>we will work on building trust and build an environment for safe and open discourse. We will do this by sharing fun information about ourselves. Due to the nature of this group there may not be difficult information to be shared so the group dynamic should be light and fun. We will build strong and positive relationships throughout this group.&nbsp;We will establish the group rules and continue to enforce them to create a safe space for students. <br><em>STAGE 2-&nbsp;</em>we will complete tasks that are hands-on and open sharing. We will continue to work towards building strong and positive relationships through the activities we are completing while developing our goal setting and decision making skills. We will continue to enforce rules in order to develop those relationships. <br><em>STAGE 3-&nbsp;</em>we will complete a life map that we will share with one another to show the development and progress we have made throughout the group work. We will continue to enforce the rules and we will evaluate how they have impacted our success as a group. </div>]]></description>

Imparting of information on goal setting and decision making will also take place. There is an opportunity for altruism to take place within student relationships. Interpersonal learning will come from students offering each other suggestions and helping one another with goal setting and decision making. </div>]]></description>
