Hello, my name is Tien. I’m a second-year student at Hanoi University of Industry and majoring in robotics and artificial intelligence of mechanical faculty. It is a full-time course which lasts four year . the subject making me feel excited, interested is English. I enjoy it most because it helps me a lot in future. At the university, I can improve five important learning skills: note-taking skills, organization skills, presentation skills, time management skills and teamwork skills. Next, I have some difficulties when studying at university. Firstly, my self-studying isn’t effective and my solution is trying to concentrate on studying more.  However, studying at university has benefits. I can meet and know many friends from different places. In addition, I’m taught about machines, practical knowledge. My lecturers and friends are very helpful and friendly. Therefore, I love studying at  HAUI so much.

Hello today i will introduce to you some mechanical machines at hanoi industrial university. I’m practicing to use some machines, such as: lathes, milling machine, bandsaw, … Machine tools have different components and functions. First, milling machine has four main components: axis, table, body and control panel. It’s used to flatten surfaces and add holes or slots. Next, the bandsaw considered as our specially product, can cut through even the toughest materials. And The machine tool rotating materials to shape them is called a lathe. Its components include axis, body, control panel. In the future, I think I will have to work with bandsaw because I want to become a mechanical engineer and work for a big company  Therefore, I try hard to learn about machines and apply for a machine tool designing team after graduation.

The classification of material is classified by properties, electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, hardness, ductility, softness, duarability, heavy or light. The classification have four types, they are metals, polymer material, ceramic, composite material. The metals have two main types. They are ferrous and non-ferrous        . The characteristics of ferrous is iron. It has properties strong, good electrical conductivity, heavy and prone to rust. Otherwise the non-ferrous light, not rust but they also conduct electricity well. The characteristics of non-ferrous is copper. Still the polymer material divided tow main types, there are plastic and rubber. They can’t electrical conductivity. Especially the plastic have a PVC is a good metarial. Now, any metarial are use to widling, they are steel, brass, bronze, aluminium alloys.

According to the diagram, the materials can be classified into four main types: metals, polymer materials, ceramic, composite materials. the most commonly used materials are metals. There are two types of metals: ferrous and non-ferrous. Ferrous metal has iron. Non-ferrous metal includes copper, zinc, tin, aluminum. And alloys are mixtures of two metal, for example: steel, brass, bronze, aluminum alloys, … some metals are abrasive, strong and tough but some other metals have the properties of ductileness and abrasion resistance. Next, polymer materials are divided into two types: plastics and rubber. Their properties are ductile and durable so they are used widely all over the world. Ceramic and composite are also important materials in mechanical engineering. Ceramic has the properties of brittleness and heat-resistance, Composite is abrasion-resistant. All materials are necessary for human and play an important part in human’s life.
