Processing time towards the end of GC meetings to work within our team or department to decide what exactly needs to be taken to our PLTs and how it needs to be discussed.

Is there any way we can organize everything into a Canvas course? We’re all used to using Canvas, and it would be a way to centralize information, maintain a to-do list (and keep track of due dates), submit necessary documents, and organize GC information.

Open opportunities to provide feedback on a wider variety of issues, since currently feedback is generally requested only on specific issues/topic. Often GC members serve the role of “pushing out to teams,” and not “bring back feedback in a productive manner.”

We feel the only purpose of GC at this point is to focus on the PLC process but we feel like we haven’t been addressing our problem of practice and campus goals. We would like opportunities to share instructional strategies, incorporating AVID practices into our classrooms and PLT plans. For example, we could talk about ways to collect data and different strategies for implementing Intervention & Extension.

One additional thing we would like to see is going back to what most of us thought we were joining. A committee was made for grading policies but we feel that should have been a topic for GC since there is a diverse representation.

PLT teams need more time to analyze the method of analyzing the data from the CFA.

Do we have a standard for how often subjects need to administer a CFA?

Create one space for all the documentation to be recorded and submitted. It was confusing on who was doing what (Focus Groups/Fast Tracks). More clarity on who is doing what. Some confusion based on what is said in the GC and what responsibilities the team members have leaving the GC.

Modeling from departments demonstrating how they do various essential skills that are universal in all subjects (i.e. reteaching, enrichment). Explain a problem they had in their classes and how they solved.

Non-focus groups should also have to-do items to bring back to PLT. A lot of times Non-focus groups feel like the GC conversations do not apply to them, and do not know what to bring back to their teams.
Having PLT resources put into the South Campus Canvas so all teachers can have access, not just GC members

Have more focused meetings, address teams that are having similar issues, make it more targeted, model a PLT meeting (have different teams video their meetings demonstrating how to unpack standards), slow down and trust the process.
