Radical Regeneration

When I think of you I am always drawn back to memories of the book, "The Future We Choose." Especially the section on three mindsets and the final one termed radical regeneration. The chapter is filled with powerful words like, 'supportive' and 'replenish.' 'Grounding', 'rooted', and 'integration.'

By sharing your time with us here at Earth to Sky you have provided a regeneration to our work as a team and to our efforts as individuals. You have been a breath of fresh air, a needed ray of sunshine, and a boost of energy. You have shared a generous wealth of knowledge, ideas, and capabilities that have made our work more effective, impactful, and enjoyable.

I am so appreciative for all you have done and wish you the best of luck in your next steps. I look forward to working with you again in the future.

It is thanks to amazing people like you that Arundhati Roy's quote can ring so true, "Another world is not only possible, she is on her way. Maybe many of us won't be here to greet her, but on a quiet day, if I listen very carefully, I can hear her breathing."

BRIGITTE! Going to miss you and your sense of humor and adventure tremendously! I find myself wishing we could go back and relive NAI all over again if just to remember the inside jokes, the laughter until we cried, and all the ghost tour pirate museum cruise side quests. You've been an amazing addition to ETS, it's been wonderful to work alongside you and see all that young intelligent women can accomplish! I'll miss you lots, please stay in touch!

Brigitte, though I’ve not had the opportunity to work directly with you it’s clear that you have had a very positive impact on the entire ETS team. Every time I’ve seen you I’ve been quite impressed with your knowledge, skills, energy and wonderful personality. Thank you for bringing all of that to our group. You are a ray of sunshine, and I’m sure you have a very bright future ahead of you. I hope that you keep in touch with ETS as you move forward in your career – you will always be welcome here.

Brigitte, it has been wonderful working with you all year, and I am so proud of what you have done for us and our community and all the skills you have learned and shared! The whole ETS and NASA community are abuzz with your awesome Landsat mosaic tutorial! I have personally gained quite a lot of skill thanks to your help and I know that goes for others on the team and in the community as well.

I wanted to particularly thank you for your resilience and good nature in the face of some truly difficult wrenches in the works. Because of those, I didn't get to meet up with you in person, but I sincerely hope we'll get to soon - maybe when you're in the DC area and come by for a tour, or when I'm in NYC!

You've been a great team member, professional, lovely to get to know, and helping us all strive to new heights. I know you have greatness ahead of you.
