He was sent to an elite military academy in Paris. There he studied and made connections that would later prove him useful. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant after his graduation. Napoleon worked his way up through  the military and was able to take control of France in 1804. He died on May 5, 1821
  Napoleon is important because he conquered many areas and brought many important artifacts back to Europe. He also controlled many areas and this caused an important shift in culture and spread french culture. He moved to Germany in 1913 and join the DAP in 1919. He was a part of a coup in 1923, but was thrown into jail until 1924. He wrote Mein Kampf, while in jail and this spread his more radical views. He became the Chancellor of Germany in 1933 and invaded Poland on September 1, 1939. He lived through the majority of WWII and was in the military in WWI. He committed suicide on April 30, 1935.
        Hitler was important because he started WWII and killed millions of people through concentration camps and war. He was born into the middle class and went to law school in England. He practiced law in South Africa, there, fighting for Indian civil rights. Gandhi later moved back to India and worked on leading the independence movement, there. He, and his wife, Kasturba, were very active and imprisoned many times.
 Gandhi is very important because he lead a nonviolent independence movement, won the Nobel Peace Prize, and helped many people. He was very adamant on not being a hypocrite and helping as many people as he could, without being violent.

She was born into a rich, upper class family. She is known as "The Lady with the Lamp" and was the founder of modern nursing. She founded the Red cross as a way to help wounded soldiers and civilians heal. She trained many nurses and stressed the importance of sanitary.
       Florence was important because she started the Red Cross, founded modern-day nursing, and saved many lives. Nightingale worked hard and her legacy continues to save lives, even after her death. She left a ripple affect on the world that will be her for centuries, to come.

He was not meant to be on the thrown, but, because his father and cousin died, he was the heir to the thrown. He was groomed from 1889 until his father's death in 1896. He went on many trips and was in the military for many years. He married twice and died on June 28, 1914.
 He was important, not because of what he did, but because he simply died. This sparked WWI and created a terrible war with millions of causalities. He was assassinated by Gavrilo Princip, a member of the Black Hand. This was a spark into an already unstable amount of TNT, thus, causing WWI.
