As part of the project "Green Teachers for Green Kids", a colourful and fun kite festival was held yesterday in the Tallinn Arbu Kindergarten 🇪🇪stadium, where groups of different ages demonstrated their handmade kites of natural and waste materials.

Airplane festive in the kindergarten

June is summer and fun time for children! However, we teach children not only to have fun, but also to protect nature and live in a clean environment. Clean air, land, water are the guarantee of our life. We changed the Kite Festival to the Airplane Festival, which we organized for the Children's Day, symbolizes the weather... thanks to which children can grow up healthy and happy! The celebration was organized by theater teacher Dovilė Talačkaitė

Kites are an activity that we have linked to STEAM activities. After watching the You Tube clip, the children were offered wooden materials to construct dragons. We made different shapes and sizes so you could explore which one flies best. And the materials we glued to the wooden structure were different. When we went to the yard to fly the kites, unfortunately there was no bora, our strongest wind. The boys remembered that they could make a storm themselves, so they started spinning and the kites flew

Then we went out into the snowy nature and flew
