Tianjing is a northern city close to Beijing. This library was designed and completed by MVRDV and Tianjin Urban Planning and Design Institute as a larger masterplan to provide a cultural district for the city. This social infrastructure is exquisitely designed, which is a five-level building containing different educational facilities especially the large reading areas, the auditorium, and the terraced access to the floors above. Although it was still during the pandemic, there was still lots of people there. Many of them were reading, searching for books, and learning. This library also provides a large, quiet public space for people in this space to interact and communicate. It is a public space that can settle down people’s hearts, which is a true public space for reflection and contemplation. It can provides a temporary escape for people  out of the busy world. This social facility is a valuable asset to this community.
