We read "Ish" today and talked about what the author was trying to teach us.

Before we post our thoughts, we wanted to ask a question:

"Why do you think the boy thought he was done with the painting?"

We read "Ish" today! Here are our thoughts:

We think that the boy thought he was done drawing because his brother made fun of him and made him feel bad.

The boy changed in the story when he realized that his drawings didn't have to be perfect. Creating "ish" pictures helped him to feel happy and creative again. We can all relate to Ramon.

Eliotte says, "I can do swimming-ish".

Cameron says, "I can read-ish".

Devin says, "I can count-ish".

Alexander says, "I can play-ish".

Kloe says, "I can play piano-ish".

Lily says, "I can make bracelets-ish".

Kaylee says, "I can make necklaces-ish".

Jilly says, "I can swing-ish".

Jayden says, "I can draw-ish".

Haidyn says, "I can do a cartwheel-ish".

Piper says, "I can bake-ish".

Isabella-the book made me think don't give up, keep trying!

Gemma-the book made me think that even if someone says you are doing bad, it doesn't matter what they think, it matters what you think.

Neel-the book made me think to not say mean words about others

Alex-the book made me think that if you are doing bad, look at it and keep trying

DaMara-If other people say something mean, ignore them and keep trying

Mitchell-"I can play soccer-ish"

Saylor-"I can do art-ish"
