         <description><![CDATA[<div>The pagan cultures used to celebrate their homes with greens for the holidays in anticipation of spring.&nbsp;<br>The Romans also decorated their temples with fir trees.<br>The tradition was incorporated into the Christian faith in Germany during the 1500’s. They decorated trees in their homes with sweets, lights, and toys.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The tradition of Santa Claus has Christian roots, not pagan ones.<br>He was inspired by St. Nicholas, and in honor of his passing, December 6th was declared as St. Nicholas day.<br>Later in time, each European culture created their own versions of St. Nicholas<br>In the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Lorraine, France, and parts of Germany, he was known as Sinter Klaas, which is where the name Santa Claus came from.<br><br></div>]]></description>
