I normally enjoy fiction dystopian novels. My good book criteria is that a book is an action packed, suspenseful, non-romance, page turning novel. I have enjoyed the Hunger Games trilogy, the previous books in The Testing trilogy, The first and second books in the Divergent trilogy, although I never exactly finished the second one. These books did not expand my good book criteria. The name of my independent reading book is Graduation Day. It meets my good book criteria, even though it is not as good as the first two books, but that is normal for a triology.

This book is taking place in the University in Tosu city. This is a fictional place although there is a place in Japan called Tosu but it says that this is in what was originally known as Kansas in the former United States which is now the United Commonwealth.

This book takes place in a dystopian future after the 7 stages of war. I know this because it says in the book that the United States no longer exists.

At the beginning of this book Cia is worried about her leaving of campus and Michal dies by being shot by Symon Dean, the mysterious old man from the first book and second book. If this book were turned into a movie I would make it action-packed. I would do this because it is action-packed when people get killed and plot twists happen. I would shoot this movie in a rundown area of Kansas because it says that it is in what was formerly Kansas. It does not say it is run down, but it is after a war. I pictured Michal getting shot in the foot and dying a slow, terrible, painful death, even though it does not say that he was shot in the foot.

My favorite character in this book so far is Cia because she is the main character. Also she is independent, smart, experienced, and considerate. I like her because she is great at figuring out things, witty, and judicious. My least favorite character is Symon Dean because he seemed to be a good person but then he turned out to be an evil murderer who killed my second favorite character, Michal. Symon is annoying and evil. Some people think he is kind even after Michal has been missing for almost a week, although another person has been missing for about the same amount of time so they are more concerned about him. That person is Dymone.

If I could go to dinner with anyone in this book it would definitly be Dr. Barnes because he is the head of the Testing. I would ask them why they started, the Testing, if they could stop it, and if they are mentally stable. I believe they would say they started the Testing because they wanted to limit population. He would say he cannot stop the Testing because his insane. Then I would kill him to end the Testing.

If I were making this book into a movie I would cast the same actors that I said I would cast for the last two books. To access what I said for the previous book please access the following link:

http://417066.blogspot.com/

In addition, Paramount is currently looking for a good script for this and will make it into a movie, as soon as they find a good script.

I like internal struggles of wondering who to trust, no physical struggles, violent struggles of the bad people dying, and everyday struggles of too much homework, because it is relatable. I like this kind of conflict because it is relatable and good. Some conflicts that have occurred in this book so far are multiple people dying and Cia not getting to see her brother, in addition to being assigned the task of murder.

I typically enjoy suspenseful conflict in movies and books. I enjoy internal struggles of wondering who to trust, physical struggles at a minimal, violent struggles where the bad people all die, everyday struggles of school and way too much homework. I like these struggles because they are relatable, especially the everyday struggles, and struggles that are good and build character. Some conflicts that have happened in my book so far are many people dying, such as Michal, and many others, along with Cia being assigned the task of murder of Dr. Barnes. I know that Cia handles not being able to talk to her brother by talking on the Transit Communicator which seems to be a fancy walkie-talkie with a GPS built in or vice versa. It also contains a recording device, although that seems to have been added in. I beleive she will not kill Dr. Barnes though, he may be an evil man that killed many, but she cannot do that if she can barely even watch people suffocate.

I have faced tons of death in my life. That is probably the biggest conflict I have faced, as you probably know from my blog on Independent Study, the book before this in The Testing Series which you can access at:

http://417066.blogspot.com/

I overcame these struggles by talking about it. My conflict is the exact same as one of the conflicts in the book, it is death. I chose to put a person with x's on their eyes because that symbolizes death.

I would rate this book a 7.5 on a scale of 1 to 10. 1 being WORST...BOOK...EVER and 10 being OMG THIS BOOK IS AWESOME!I would say that the genre of this book is dystopia. I have not finished the book although I only have about 100 pages left. I have been extremely busy lately and thought that we had more time to finish the book. On the bright side I had fished the other book about 2 weeks early. This book still meets my good book criteria. This is a dystopian, action, suspenseful novel with less romance than the first book. My good book criteria has changed to include a book that does not have more than 1 chapter of no action, minus the exposition.

I put a happy face because it makes me happy and I put a sighing face becasue I am relieved that my life may be extremely hard and stressful but it is not as bad as the people`s lives in this book.
