Each class the chairs change places allowing them to change classmates each class. already at their tables Miss Eli gives them a photocopy (I couldn´t take a picture of it) they were working on the emotions and had to draw the face corresponding to each emotion that appears in the copy. once this activity is over, each one puts his/her name in the copy and proceeds to sit again in the round on the floor to the goodbye song.

The activity was to paint the face with the color that said below, but they could only paint it when miss Eli gave the ok, this activity had to be very supervised since there were no pencils of the same color fo everyone so that they don´t fight Miss Eli was passing table by table controlling them.

once the actvity is over, they make the round to sing the goodbye song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQfvAlmr5g0&list=RDUQfvAlmr5g0&start_radio=1

3rd observation

Date: 30/06/2025

In this class the first thing is the dynamics of the round and the song then still in round Eli presents a new theme to the class, he brought a video about the song do you want to build a snowman? From the film Frozen to start working on winter clothes. We watch the video of the song, listen to it, then try to understand what it says and what it is snowman. Once this is done, they go to their tables again and Miss Eli gives them parts of a snowman per table, each group chooses two representatives to go to the front to stick the part of the snowman that they have. Once they put together the snowman, they talk about the parts it has and make the round to say goodbye.

Describe it and say why it was important.

One important moment for me was when the students threw puzzle pieces during the activity, leading Miss Eli and me to reprimand them. As the class wound down, chaos erupted—kids tossing pieces across the room in excitement, ignoring our calls for order. We had to pause the goodbye song, firmly remind them of classroom rules, and guide them to clean up calmly before resuming.

This was important because it highlighted the challenges of managing energy in young learners during hands-on activities. It taught me the value of anticipating behavioral issues in group work and reinforced my skills in maintaining authority while keeping the lesson positive. Despite the disruption, the class ended successfully, showing me that quick interventions can turn potential setbacks into learning opportunities, boosting my confidence in adaptive teaching.

Date: 30/07/2025

In this class, I arrived and as always we sang the hello song later, I told them that they were going to go to their tables and we were going to paint farm animals always paying attention to my instructions, lurgo of that copy we made another one that was to join animals, after this we went back to the carpet to sing the goodbye song.

Choose a moment that was important for the students during the lesson. Describe it and say why it was important.

One important moment for the students was during the drawing activity, where they sat at their tables and illustrated farm animals using only crayons and pencils, following my instructions on colors and shapes. As they colored cows, pigs, and chickens with vibrant crayons and sketched details with pencils, the room filled with concentrated whispers and smileS kids experimenting with hues to make their drawings come alive.

This was important because it encouraged creativity and personal connection to the farm animals theme through accessible, low-mess tools. For young learners, this task honed fine motor skills and boosted artistic confidence, turning vocabulary into visual expressions. It also built independence, as they adapted to guidance, showing that simple activities can make learning fun and empowering, fostering a sense of pride and deeper engagement.

Date: 04/08/2025

In this class, as in all of them, we started singing the hello song, then we were going to listen to the old McDonald's song and I would show them flashcards to refresh the names and the sounds they make. After this introduction we went on to play a game, it was that I was going to give a card to a student and that one could only make the sound of the animal, the others should guess which animal it was in English, as a closing activity we put the song of old macdonald and while it played we danced, when the music stopped I said an animal and they had to act it. Finally we sang the goodbye song.

Describe this lesson in terms of a metaphor.

This lesson can be described as a joyful farm adventure.

From the moment the class began with the hello song, it was like opening the gates of the farm, inviting everyone in with smiles and excitement. The Old McDonald song set the scene — a lively world full of animals waiting to be discovered. The flashcards were like a map guiding the children through the fields, helping them recognize each animal by its sound and name.

Then came the game, where each student became an animal, bringing the farm to life with their voices a chorus of moo’s, oink’s, and quack’s that filled the classroom like music. The dancing activity turned the whole room into a playful barnyard, where imagination and movement mixed in laughter. Finally, the goodbye song gently closed the farm gate, ending the adventure until the next visit.

Date: 06/08/2025

In this class once again we started singing the song of hello, after that I told you that we would listen and see the video of the song of old macdonald (the co-former recommended that I bring them the video) As we were watching the video I was pausing asking what animal had appeared. When this was finished, I took out of my backpack a poster of a farm with animals for them to stick and say what animal it was. I had planned to do one more activity in which they would draw their favorite animal but for reasons of time, we didn't do it, we finished sticking the poster and sang the goodbye song.

Choose a quotation that represents an event, knowledge, insight in this lesson.

A quotation that represents an insight from this lesson could be:

"Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn" -Benjamin Franklin

This quote reflects how this lesson engaged the children actively, not only listening to the Old McDonald song, but also identifying animals, interacting with the video, and participating in the creation of a farm poster. By involving them through movement, speech, and creativity, the learning became meaningful and memorable, even if time didn’t allow for the final drawing activity.

Date: 11/08/2025

Once again on the carpet we started greeting each other with the hello song, after this I had to present the new topic so I raised a conversation in which I showed them some photos of my pets telling them something about them, then I asked them what other pets they knew. After this introduction with the flashcards and the conversation we moved on to the first activity in which on their tables they had to mold their own pet with dough, the truth is that it super entertained them and they were very enthusiastic and happy, when everyone finished, they washed their hands and briefly told what pet they have, as they could not all count for reasons of time, the next class we started counting the missing pets. We sang the goodbye song and I finished the class.

Include a photo of a moment in the lesson, or a task students did, a picture from the board or any other lesson component you would like to share, and describe it.

The picture shows the flashcards used during the lesson to introduce and practice vocabulary about pets. Each card has a clear image of a different animal a dog, a cat, a fish, a rabbit, a turtle, among others. These visuals helped the students recognize and name the pets in English, making the learning process more dynamic and engaging.
This photo represents the starting point of the lesson, where students connected the new words with real images before moving on to the creative activity with dough. The flashcards were a key resource to support understanding, participation, and pronunciation, helping children link words, sounds, and meaning in a fun and visual way.

Date: 13/08/2025

The last class, as in the previous one they had not been able to count some about their pets, we started chatting about that, then, I reminded them with flashcards the pets and the farm animals and that the activity of the day would be to play a bingo, they all went to their tables and a bingo was given to each one along with pencils, they were explained how to play and we started, the truth is that they had a lot of fun, the first 5 winners won a chocolate and that generated that generated that those who did not win in the first instance were frustrated, then we went to the carpet to say goodbye with the goodbye song and I told them that I would not see them anymore, after singing the song I gave them a gift: playdoughs and a chocolate.

How did the students react to your teaching, to the activities and the materials? How did they react to the lesson?

The students reacted very positively to the lesson and the activities. They were excited and motivated from the beginning, especially when they realized they were going to play bingo a game they enjoy and that allows them to use the vocabulary they had learned in a fun way. The flashcards helped them recall the names of the animals easily, and they were actively engaged throughout the game.

When the first winners received chocolates, there was a mix of emotions: some students were thrilled and proud, while others felt a bit frustrated for not winning right away. However, they quickly regained their enthusiasm and continued participating with energy.

At the end, when they gathered on the carpet to sing the goodbye song and realized that it was the last class, the atmosphere became emotional and affectionate. The moment of receiving a small gift (playdough and chocolate) made them feel happy and appreciated. Overall, the students’ reactions showed that they had enjoyed the learning process, felt connected to the activities, and valued both the fun and the emotional closure of the lesson.
