I didnt really doccument the process as I forgot to take pictures while making it.

I settled on a bag to make it simple yet easily wearable with anything.

It is a reversible patchwork side bag with sections of borro and sashiko stitches done in a way as an homage to the original look and aesthetic of DIY punk fashion. In a sense, this bag itself embodies the raw, gritty and DIY aesthetic as I purposefully left edges unhemmed to leave a raw and distressed look to the bag. The elegance of the diesel fabrics design along with a vibrant red black and white colour pallet connotes a sense of danger especially with the edgy patterns of the bandana.

The reverse side of the bag is a much more toned down monochromatic colour way as a way to mirror not only the stark contrast of society but to also reflect what a person getting into punk might feel like. The somewhat boring and basic tone one side brings is a direct call out to mainstream society and how it can be perceived as previously described where as the flip side is more outlandish and flashy closely mirroring a punks aesthetic and beliefs. 2 safety pins were left not only as intentional decorations but also a potential useful item in case of any emergencies.

The white thread used to detail the bag is shown on both sides demonstrating a link between both sides of society through a punk mentality.
