Zhu yi, or Beverly zhu grew up in the US where she found her love for figure skating at a young and worked hard to get into competitions. Even since childhood zhu yi showed great talent in figure skating so her parents greatly supported her and took her to practices and competitions. She learned to balanced her studies and long practice hours.

by her early teens, she had already started competing in skating events and showing promise in her future as a champion.
