         <description><![CDATA[<div>Egypt was using foreign allies as buffer states to protect against invasion.  Although used some of the lands never realized the Egyptians were using as a form of protection.  They did wonder why the pharaoh had not sent them presents of gold.  The New Kingdom also called the "Empire Age" began during the Eighteenth Dynasty.  The Eighteenth Dynasty was famous for having interesting rulers.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Assyrian in the northern part of Iran invaded Egypt in 663 BCE.  They forced out the Nubians which due to troubles at home they left egypt to its own devices.  The Saite kings emulated the traditions, art, and large private tombs older tombs.  The persians conquered Egypt twice until Alexander the Great arrived in 332 BCE.  Egypt was conquered by a foreign military from the time of the persian invasions in 1952 CE, when it gained it's own independence from the british.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Macedonian/Greek army of Alexander The Great occupied Egypt in 332 BCE in which he appointed himself pharaoh. His generals including a man named Ptolemy, split up his empire when he died. Ptolemy gained control of Egypt, establishing a dynasty that was left unbroken for nearly 3 centuries ending with a sad story of Cleopatra. After the death of Cleopatra, the Romans seized Egypt as its province and used the people to grow crops for its troops. The lifespan of common people dropped sharply under Roman rule. In 384 CE the Romon Emperor effectively converted the Empir to Christianity.</div>]]></description>
