I never had been exposed to the APA style of writing before, I mostly use MLA. If I had been exposed to the APA style of writing in the past I would have not been completely blindsided and had to learn a new writing style; I would have at least been familiar with the APA writing style. Another thing that I wish I knew is a self-pace is not as scary as it sounds, it can be relaxing. I also felt anxious because I had never taken an asynchronous course before. I didn't know how they would be structured, and if I didn't like it I knew I was going to be stuck in the courses I was in because nothing else fit into my schedule. Looking back, I shouldn't have been as worried, but I still don't like the lack of communication or face-time with professors. I don't think office hours or email is enough because a-lot of the times, schedules conflict with office hours and things get lost in translation through email, and I guess that is why I was nervous in the first place.
