We know the Dad and Grandpa are very contradictory and both at the start have a goal to make the little one like themself, starting with the hat, the grandpa wants the kid to wear the hat slanted upward like Grandpa does, but the dad wants the hat to be slanted downward like how he wears his hat. We don't see much until they land on "La Luna", but once we do we see more of this theme of both wanting the kid to be like them, starting with them sweeping the stars, the grandpa uses a more old fashioned broom that looks like his beard, and the Dad uses a newer looking broom that's similar to the mustache. However once the big star falls, and they can't sweep it up we see the kid attempt their own way, separate from the dad and grandfather, which is first shown when they flip their hat backward, signaling to us that the young one doesn't want to be like the other two, then when the kid bangs the big star with the hammer and it breaks, we see a shocked expression on the others. They're wearing overalls and helmets and wielding brooms. The eyes of the two adult males are concealed beneath the signs of aging. They are unable to see as clearly or as far as the boy, who has large, clear eyes. The grandfather uses a handcrafted broom with precision, while the father saves time by using a push broom. He doesn't let fear stop him from doing something he wants to do. The dad and the grandpa both want control of his life and every choice he makes. For example they each want the boy's hat they same way each of them wear their hat. When the boy went to go climb on the star, the dad and grandpa looked amazed about what their son was doing and how confident he was in his decision. The boy hit the top of the star as if he already knew what to do. The family does look a little poor which means that they will probably take an experience and cherish is more than a richer family would because they get better experiences more often. The boy most likely gets stressed and worried some of the time because of his will to be like his dad and grandpa and also the fact that they both fight a lot. You can tell that they do this a lot because they trusted the little boy up there. You can tell it was his first time because he was super interested with the stars on the moon and looked like he had never seen them before. They fought over how the boy should wear his hat and what broom he should use. I noticed the boy was curious and still learning about this job. Further into the video, a huge star struck into the moon and the grandpa and dad didn't seemed to like it. They were annoyed and fought with each other about what they should do, or at least it seems like it. The boy on the other hand seemed to be pleased by the huge star. He noticed that the star was hollow somewhere. We can also see that they are trying to teach the little boy but they both have very different styles and techniques of working and the boy feels stuck almost to whether or not he should choose one way or the other. With the big tall man he was probably raised to think that you don't need to show feeling for work and to just get the job done. While the older shorter man has a different perspective possibly from the fact that hes been through the bad and good days with getting work done and thinks that its just better to do things with more positvity. But both of these men are the people that the little boy is looking up to so hes not sure of whats right and wrong. In the end the boy knows that his own way might be the only right way for himself. The dad wants the boy to act like him but so does the grandpa. However, the boy finds his own way when the big star falls. He tips his hat backwards and hits the star with a hammer, something the grandpa and the dad didn't think of. After he smashes the star it shows the astonishment on both of the adults faces and I think that's when they both realized, he's not like either of us. At the end of the film it shows all three of them sweeping the stars the grandpa hat tipped up with his broom, the dad hat tipped down with his broom, but the boy still had his hat tipped backwards and unlike the other two, he was using a rake. The first two are two adult men. One tall and one short. The short one has white a long white beard which indicates he is older. The taller man has a mustache. This guy is very serious about his work while the older man is not as much. These two can't agree on anything. We can see these two have different perspectives on work as well as life. The older man is more calm and wise. They both are stubborn and think they know best. The third character is a little boy. The two men are trying to teach him their ways but he has his own way of doing it. Beginning with the hat the Dad wanted the kid to where it one way and the Grandpa want the kid to where the other way. They both seem to have different perspectives of how the want the kid to where the hat. After they were trying to decide how they wanted the kid to where the hat they both seem to be annoyed from there the kid starts to copy what they both where doing the dad was touching his nose so the kid also did it then we see the Grandpa stick his pinky in his ear then the kid does the same thing. We later see the kid land on the moon from there the Grandpa and the Dad also land on the moon. From this point we see how the dad and the Grandpa we arguing without dialogue about which broom they wanted the boy to use. After that we see the big star land, the Dad and the Grandpa were trying to sweep it away but failed, we them see them arguing. The boy seems to notice them and put his hat backwards and tries to take the star away his own way. We then see the boy on top of the star he then start to hit the star with a hammer until he's able to make the star break into a lot of other little stars. The two adults seem to be amazed by what the boy has just done(we know this because you were able to see there eyes by the way the lifted their eyebrows) After that we see them sweeping the stars away but the boy instead of using a broom we see him using a rake. They have there different opinions on how they see things. The way they wear their hat or the way they clean up the stars. They both seem very stubborn and the little boy is caught up in the middle of it. Both of them are trying to teach the little boy how to do things. Since they both have different styles the little boy doesn't know what way to pick. The little boy seems to find a different way to do things, his way. They all have their different ways of doing things.
