I think that people should be able to use the Insaninty defense case on certain occasions. -People who suffer from true metal illness do not have to pay a heavy price for a crime they didn't know they were committing
-The families of the person charged of a crime can rest peacefully because they know their loved one wasn't punished wrongly, and are getting help they need.

CONS
-People who are guilty of murder and know what they are doing, can get away with murder.
-It can be hard to decide if someone is truly insane.

I think that people should be allowed to use the insanity plea.I believe this because people who truly don't know right from wrong are not sent to a place where their condition may get worse. I think that the Insanity Plea should be used with people that have confirmed severe mental illnesses. There must be tons of evidence to concur that they are insane before they can use the Insanity Plea.
