The opening day of the freshmen year at St. John’s were the whole school gathered in the gym. When we gathered in the gym it was was of the way the you were really “welcomed” into the school; futhermore, everyone does a similar process when the go to St. John’s.

I remember being initiated into the prep for eighth grade and for freshman year which was somthing that was new for the prep as well becuase we were the first group to be clapped into the gym two years in a row. I remember the crazy feeling that was felt when you walking in and everyone was clapping and you felt accepted into this school.
