After an elephant goes on a spin, he is requested to take care of said elephant.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Orwell's claim is that imperialism is not a good thing.<br>Pathos; When he talks of everyone hurrying to skin and take the meat of the elephant, because they're starving. It's an appeal to emotion, by the fact that when I hear what is happening, it is such a wrong situation, in many cases, because it wasn't the right thing to do.<br>Ethos; Where he debates the right and wrong of shooting the elephant. The reasoning behind believing him would because he lived through it and he was there in that moment. <br>Logos; How it'd be stupid and wrong to shoot the elephant because of how valuable it is, especially to the owner of the elephant. It shows how wrong it truly is, but he still does it because he doesn't want to be embarrassed .</div>]]></description>

This not only oppresses the Indian people that live there but the oppressors themselves.&nbsp;<br><br>Ethos- After the Elephant finally dies and the Burmese people are already stripping the elephant to the bone.<br><br>Pathos- "But I did not want to shoot the elephant. I watched him beating his bunch of grass against his knees with that preoccupied grandmotherly air that elephants have. It seemed to me that it would have been murder to shoot him.<br><br>Logos- When Orwell describes how  valuable the elephant is because it is "a machine."</div>]]></description>

Those who are native to the country that is under imperialistic rule are opressed, and the ones that have occupied said country are constantly put under scrutiny.&nbsp;<br><br>Ethos: Is it wrong of Orwell to shoot the elephant just because the Burmese want him to? As an officer of the law, shouldn't he be obligated to do the right things.<br>Pathos: Orwell drags out the death f the elephant in vivid detail. The heart wrenching scene depicts the elephant struggling to stay alive while at the same time refusing to die.&nbsp;<br>Logos: Logically, in order for the people to be safe, the elephant should be safe. Logically, the elephant should not be shot because its too valuable to its owner to be shot dead.</div>]]></description>
