The BioMan Biology simulation was selected for its ability to transform how students engage with natural selection. Instead of passively learning, students manipulate genetic traits and environmental conditions to observe evolutionary outcomes in real time. This aligns with the Redefinition level of the SAMR model and supports constructivist, inquiry-based learning.

Students take on the role of scientists, testing hypotheses and recording reflections through screencasting tools. The resource supports diverse learners by allowing self-paced exploration and multiple modes of expression. It also promotes the development of ICT Capability, Critical and Creative Thinking, and Ethical Understanding as students interpret data and consider real-world applications like invasive species management.
