Daywalt, D. , & Jeffers, O. (2014). The Day the crayons Quit.

What this author was trying to capture within this read was first the colors are bright, and inviting. This book title says it for itself, it gives you a chance to see what it is like in the eyes of crayons and how they feel, on what they are used for! Which is exactly what the author's message is within the story, having you step or walk in someone else's shoes! truly seeing how someone else feels and what they are going through, might make you reconsider how you feel inside.
This is one of my favorite books and I love the message it sends out to children and adults of all ages.

I really enjoyed this book and what the author's purpose was, the author's message was displayed in such a descriptive way, that kids who blurt out, interrupt and can't keep what they want to say to themselves, is just plain RUDE!
When you can't wait your turn, and constantly interrupt, and have no idea that your doing that, this is the best way to describe it to a child to understand, that you should not and can not act that way. This book teaches patience, respect, and how listening is just as important as talking.

This author produced a book that is encouraging, and inviting for every child in the world, that the gift of giving is the best gift, and truly makes you happy. I loved how the author captures this message through examples of daily tasks everyday with others, and how working hard, and putting in time and effort pays off in the end and makes you realize how important it is to help others, and in the end makes you even happier. These illustrations remind me of the old show I used to watch, " Dennis the Menence" great book, and even better message.

According to the author, this story among their many other tales about the food groups, this one "This cookie has never felt like a smart cookie no matter how hard she tries, especially in comparison to all the clever cupcakes and brilliant rolls in the bakery. Will a dash of creativity and a sprinkle of confidence be enough to help her learn that perfect scores and having all the answers aren’t the only ingredients for intelligence?"
This book, is so cute and the illustrations are adorable. Every time I read this book, to my children they laugh and love it, especially when I act like the characters! This book teaches the message that if you stick with it, stay confident you can do and accomplish anything and it will be great!
I love reading this book, and find it always to put a smile on my face!

These two characters Piggy and Gerald, an Elephant and a Piggie experience different emotions, adventures an experiences together, both learning valuable lessons, life lessons along the way! Mo Williams truly captured the ability to make lessons fun and engaging. Must read!

(2012). I SPY ANIMALS
I love love these books, these books engage any audience and keep you busy for hours, it can even build upon teamwork and togetherness. This can be read and played by yourself or with a partner, this is not a game but my children and I make it one. We race to see who can find the picture first, after reading the capture. It is so much fun, the pictures are realistic and it is a fun read. Plus, children of smaller ages work on focus, and attention skills. Great even if you need your children to take a calm moment or want to do something fun with them. We love the adventure and rush we get trying to find the next picture.

Guthrie, S. & Oppenheim, A. (2017). Princesses Wear Pants
I love these books, I received our first book as a baby shower gift for my daughter and the illustrations are fun, and colorful, bright and funky. This book is about a girl who even though is a princess loves to do everything in pants even though she is a princess and is supposed to be in a dress! She realizes that it is not what you wear that makes you what you are inside, its what you do and how you act that makes you who you are! This books builds on confidence, it inspires young girls to be themselves and love every minute of it! It to me is a bit of a tough read for a young reader as the paragraphs are pretty big. Great Book! And love how this books inspires not only my own daughter but all the girls around the world to be themselves and LOVE IT!

Curious George Goes to a Chocolate Factory

This story is just another adventure that George goes on learning through his experiences that what he expected does not always turn out right, and that if you do things that you should not they lead to trouble and you need to listen and do what is right, and make good choices to keep you out of trouble and bad situations.
Children love what this little monkey gets in too at every chance he gets and realizes that when he is wrong and gets into trouble, he fixes the problem and learns to help to make things better. Love this little monkey, even when I was little and now being an adult reading to my own children, calming and delightful story to read.
