I converted with NoTube convertor. I chose the FLV mode and was able to get the image and the sound in a great quality. Very easy to use, quick and modern. No lagging which is a very good point.

I would use these same tools if I had to as they are very accessible.

Task 1 for Week 5 - Screenshot tool

WEEK 5 - Grammar point

I clicked Fn+Alt+Impo Ecran. Then chose a lesson on ''Be+ing'', I took a screen shot and cropped it to focus on one specific point. I used the computer's tool which can sometime make it less enjoyable to look at, perhaps because of pixelisation. Being able to create an interesting grammar point can be very difficult as it is supposed to make a grammar point more accessible and help focus on few rules and exemples. I find it challenging to not modify and add to the grammar point. To conclude the tool is very useful for everyday class if we wanted to show it in class or just give it to the students to keep and read.

I used StoryBoard, it is great as it has many characters from different categories and differents designes. However It is too restrictive in terms of the placements of the characters, the situations and ideas. The design is a little childish and not that modern which makes it a litlle slow to use. I would not use it for my classes as many other tools are more enjoyable. But it I had to I could use it to speak about diversity in the workplace.

This could be used with students when asking the question ''What are the advantages of having a second language?''

Padlet is a very interesting tool which contains different features, adding images, documents, QR codes, website links and lessons which will become accessible to the people you allow. You can create a colourful, pesonalized and fun portflolio and allow multiple people to access the different documents or content you published. It is very easily creative, modern and can be used for free which makes it possible for a wide range of people to use.

A disadvantage might be that it is too accessible, if the link is shared and you can't control what your students do on the portfolio.

i used ''Crayion'' to generate the image and Canva to edit and crop the picture. The advantages are that it is quite fast and modern. Both sites are not slow or lagging. The colors stay clean and clear and the image is the same, their is no pixelisation. The only disadvantages is that Crayion does not allow you to get the exact result you asked for. I asked for a little boy looking at her in the background but it did not appear. Still great. I would totally use it in class as the images are very enjoyable and colourful.

I used popplet to create my grammatical point on modals, it was quite easy to handle. You can add different colors, change the format and look of the boxes which is interesting as it helps create a dynamique of importance or rather of steps.

It helps communicate an idea and make it easier for data to be understood. It can interactive, different students can add to it and make it more complete. It it striking as it puts into perspective data.

I wanted to create a fake snap, I used Zeoob, it is very easy to use, you don't even have to create an account. I chose a snap picture because it is very well known of students. I would use this document during class when speaking about FAKE NEWS - to create a sort of prevention, however during a sequence to make it fun and striking rather than serious and dramatic. Of course I would create a more believable picture to really get my point accross.

I though it was interesting to discover this side of Canva, which I did not know of. I had a few difficulties due to some lagging but I was not able to figure out if it was the computer's fault or the tool.

I liked the general plan of Chat GPT, I would actually use it however I would be more specific as I would have to grade everyone specifically. Perhaps I could go to each group and listen while they are in discussion to get an idea of their grade and then ask questions at the end of their presentation if I need more from a specific student. I thought the times dedicated to each specific task were quite understable and the materials such as ''Powerpoint'' very accessible and well known of the students.

I would use LearningApps to create an activity which would include every or as most students as possible. Perhaps linking words to an image. It is possible to use any image, which is really important if you want to make a subject very specific to the sequence you have prepared. It is very easy to use, quick to download images or write the questions and answers. You can choose how the answers have to be written, if the students have to follow a specific order.

One of the advantages is that you can find many exemples and different themes to help you understand the app, then it is so quick and easy to create. It is one of the tools I liked the most.
