I go to school at Cuba Middle School and I am in 8th grade. I have four brothers; three are older and one is younger. I have two older sisters. I always hang out with my older brothers because they always have time for me and both are going to college. One of them is going to graduate from college soon.

Carreer

The career I chose for my future study is physical therapy. I chose this career is because physical therapists make a lot of money and because I also love helping people. I would be teaching people how to walk again after they have been injured. One more reason I would like to become a physical therapist is because I would like to go to college in New York and hopefully practice there. The pay of a physical therapist is great, and I know that it is going to be very rewarding. In New York, physical therapists make $130,000 annually.

In the article, "Six Steps for How to Become a Physical Therapist,” the author states that becoming a physical therapist can take anywhere between three to six years of college study. In order to become qualified as a physical therapist, I must first earn a bachelor's degree in anatomy. Next, I will have to gain hands-on physical therapist experience to get admitted into a higher education and experience some programs that require more hours of experience. This certification process takes three years to complete and is eighty percent classroom and lab study, twenty percent office education. My degree will be a big part of my success, so I will be working hard. I want to go to college in New York City University of New York (CUNY). CUNY is it is a highly available public system for students who want to become a physical therapist.

My passion for physical therapy involves helping people help themselves achieve their goals. The challenge of complex cases gives me a sense of personal satisfaction. I can make improvements in people's lives to allow them to live longer and healthier lives.
