Students had to point to their partner before moving to work with their partner. Students were using several different types of manipulatives. There was an adult at most stations to help keep students on track and facilitate questions. Lots of opportunities for movement – changing stations, moving around the room, etc.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>3.&nbsp; Rigor: Kindergarteners were skip counting by tens to one hundred, and they had to be aware of their surroundings and pay attention to others since they were moving around the circle. In centers, students were counting repeatedly by building a chain to represent numbers, counting dominoes, etc. They were doing all the work without realizing it was work!&nbsp;</div><div>Technology: Content being taught was displayed for students to reference as they worked in centers. It was very obvious the students had helped complete the work on display, and students learn best by doing!&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. There were a lot of great ideas to borrow from others. Some that i think I will try using soon are QR codes foe news sources, Reading boxes and a new way to bring more vocabulary into a center. I want to add some more specific activities like I saw in Mrs. Heut's pictures for students to know different types of activities to move onto when assigned work is completed.&nbsp;<br>2. The use of technology and types of&nbsp; thought provoking questions as well as engaging centers.<br>3. Students were learning and working at their pace. Work was on their level and understanding. Technology was being used in various centers for things such as iReady, reading books from a QR code and as a supplement to finishing center activities.</div>]]></description>

Students were practicing the same skill in different and more complex ways. They went from determining which number was less or more, to having to model one more and one less. The variety of activities during center rotations. Loved the mix of reading and math in Pearce's room.          <description><![CDATA[<div>1. I loved the amount of student movement and engagement I saw during center/partner activities. I would love to incorporate that more consistently in my class. I also like the use of student reference anchor charts.<br>2.&nbsp;Centers, multiple activities, QR codes, integration of technology, multiple ways to show learning. There were also a lot of student accountability pieces that could be used during centers (easy to read chart, close reading toolbox, etc.) <br>3. Students were involved in differentiated centers that focused on manipulatives and different expressions of the same skill. Students were able to rotate through and experience the skill in multiple different ways. </div>]]></description>

I can borrow QR code problems for early finishers, student response anchor charts, thought for the day, and fixed vs. growth mindset charts.<br>2.&nbsp; Student's choice of presentation, Discovery Ed board, Google slides, and QR code math problems were used to raise student engagement in the classroom.<br>3. Students knew what information was expected of them by following a rubric. They also were able to take all of their research and compile it into a presentation format that would be given to the class. I noticed in the Pearce rotation students were completing math problem sets and each question was posted somewhere in the room. I love movement in the classroom and that was a great way to keep students engaged on eager to solve.&nbsp;<br>3. The posted news sources encourage students to independently explore current events.&nbsp;<br>Technology was used in various ways. I will borrow the "finish early" QR code problems, the Mind Set "instead of ... , think ...",&nbsp; and the board from Mrs. Byrd's room where students get to contribute daily to a topic written on the board. I am excited to implement these in our classroom.&nbsp;<br>2. It was clear the students were engaged by their participation in the whole group follow up discussion after watching a video. The multiple learning styles that were used, the option for collaboration, and the connection to 21st century learning raised student engagement. In talking to several students, they seemed to be engaged by the possibility of going to Massachusetts University and by the possibility of being an architect.&nbsp;<br>3.&nbsp;The pace of the lesson provided rigor and very little opportunity for disruption as well. The connection to students being able to go to this college, or explore this career path added rigor. The use of technology was evident by the video that was presented, QR codes for those who finish early, and ipads were used during collaboration. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>* I loved the opportunity to visit other classrooms. There is a lot of great teaching going on - we all knew this, but the learning walks gave us proof!<br>1. We would love to borrow QR codes throughout our classroom - "finish early" wall. I really like the idea of setting goals for the students in the classroom, in all areas.&nbsp;<br>2. All of the 3rd and 4th graders were truly engaged and interacting with the learning that was taking place in the classroom. The teachers had a high standard for the students' participation and behavior while learning. All students had a role in the learning and seem to play the part.&nbsp;<br>3. The partner work was great in both of the classrooms - there was little (to no) down time for the students. There was technology being use in both classroom - again, all students were encouraged!&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I loved the opportunity to walk through and observe and visit other classrooms. It also was great to glimpse students I had taught and see them more independent and working on their own !<br>1. I loved the idea of writing down all the books we have read together as a class on a board. I will be implementing it in my class room next semester. Love it !<br>&nbsp;2. In another class.students were working in groups&nbsp; on the Judicial system ,working with partners and doing a great job interacting. Technology was used as the students interacted on the IPads and worked together to solve the problems. Great partnership and rigor.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;<br>3.It was great to see the students imagine they were architects&nbsp; and begin working on determing the area of space they needed. They were challenged, motivated and engaged. Technology was used in whole group instruction before they began their independent assisgnment. I observed classes in 3rd and 4th grade and they were all fully engaged ! Thanks for the opportunity.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>It was such a privilege to see fellow teachers   working their magic.<br>1. I will develop more activities for students to have to do when their assignment is complete. I hope to incorporate technology in the process. I will use "Thought for Today". It was a clever way to promote thinking.<br>2. Teacher used partner work so that students kept each other engaged and accountable. Technology, including video and<br> i Pads, engaged students.  Presenting the assignment as a scavenger hunt gave incentive to complete.<br>3. There was no down time during Mrs. Heut's math lesson. She led discussion, gave instruction, and students went immediately into group work as architects. The basis of the lesson was a video. Students used iPads to complete the scavenger hunt making it fun and rigorous to see who could finish first.</div>]]></description>
