I learned about how important and useful it can be to show students an image and listen to all of the things they have questions or wonder about. I believe it is conducive to productive class or pair discussion and can be implemented throughout any science lesson. The concept of using a variety of teaching tools and activities to keep our students engaged is inclusive and equitable to the body of students we are teaching.

Today I learned that there are a variety of online activities that can be used to promote student learning. Examples include the hydra where students can write out various questions or observations about a given topic. The sandwich method is also helpful as the students work together to read different articles and then compare and contrast their works. And the quiz site is a great method to promote an understanding of a subject or vocabulary terms. Especially if they relate to cooking.

I sculpted a penguin because I learned about the Wicked Hydra strategy, which encourages students to think and come up with brilliant questions. Animals and science concepts are engaging for students and as teachers, we have to remember that science is an important subject to teach. Edu protocol allows teachers to spark curiosity in the strategies we've learned.

I learned how students can get creative with the thin slides. They get to choose their images and get creative with the fonts. It also allows them to wonder and ask questions about certain images. Eduprotocols can be something simple but it allows the students to be engaged in these activities.
