Like other pyramids, this one was built to serve as a tomb for the pharaoh who probably built it, Cheops, and contain his essence for all eternity. The pyramids were also a way in which the pharaoh demonstrated his power and thus remained present even after his death. In 1951, Egyptian archaeologist Zakaria Goneim discovered the pyramid, by then a sand-covered heap of ruins and rubble, near the Step of Djoser.
This construction remains in the city of Giza in Egypt is one of the few wonders of the ancient world that is still standing.

I liked this construction because it is one of the few ancient wonders that are still standing and because it is very beautiful
