This was the first unit plan I created for my placement. I can recall spending hours working on this document to ensure I was well prepared for placement. Since then I have quickly seen how breaking down LO and delving into the core concepts of them can quickly aid my planning process. I have chosen this unit as my Padlet submission as it was the plan that resonated with me the most. I reflect on this unit as I create this Padlet allowing me to further accommodate my progress in the past eight weeks

Students will be tasked to engage with the jigsaw method to research the various types of blood vessels within the body.
The jigsaw method is a popular method educators use to encourage collaborative sharing and learning of content. It is diverse and promotes active learning as well as comprehensive skills

This paper discusses the various benefits of utilising media and digital resources within education. for subject specifics, the paper discusses how teachers of different subject backgrounds support their teachings using technology such as websites, videos and engaging quizzes.
Specifically for my subject strand it shows that “teachers used digital media, virtual laboratory or a simulation application through smartphones to support teaching” (Nguyen et al., 2022) Additionally, students used LabQuest or other methods of collaborative learning to practice with friends. This teamwork promoted students' communication, problem-solving thinking and critical thinking. This is true for myself and for the peers I discussed this paper with. My collegeues and I cohortly agree the use of media and technology has further progressed our ability to make learning accessible for all learners.
