Our target customers are student that stay in University Malaysia Sarawak. We start this business in November 2024, and had generate income as much as RM100 and more.

Reflection on MPU3222 Foundation of Entrepreneurship Cultivation Project

This first semester of year one degree, I had experienced a very beneficial experience that for it is very importance to learn in our lifetime, which is I learn how to manage a business and product. For our entrepreneur’s subject name Preamour, we sold prelove and new items but basically, we sold prelove items more. We collect our old and unused items that still good to be sell. We also collect money to buy prelove items from prelove store and to buy new items.

        This project had been running from November last year, 17^th November 2024. We start with creating our official social media account, Facebook, Instagram, Telegram and TikTok. We also post a lot of teasers of our product to attract buyer to follow our social media account. After we gain a lot of followers, we start post our on sell items and our main platform is on Telegram channel. For the first day, we got a lot of customers. We continue to sell our items until now and our income had exceeded RM100 more.

Throughout this project, our team had work together to create a good product and promote to our targeted customers. We had discussed the project ideas and activities to enhance our sells. I feel glad that our team help each other in making sure our project went smoothly. We also done a promotion which is buy 2 to get RM5 off and free delivery. After a week of selling, we tracked our selling for that week, and we also calculate our profit for a week.

In addition, throughout this project, we also face difficulties like time management, we need to manage our business and our study. Other than that, we also face an obstacle such as a lot of sellers had sold the same concept as us, therefore, we discuss and plan together on how to overcome these problems. With the help of each member, we successfully complete our target in selling our product. 

In conclusion, this project teaches me a great lesson in managing my own business. It is a crucial skill that everyone needs to learn to create a passive income. This is because business is a good option for passive income.

Running our small business, Prèamour, which mostly sells preloved clothes, as part of our Foundation of Entrepreneurship Cultivation group project has been a great learning experience. It taught me about the importance of sustainable fashion and how to turn this idea into a business.

At the start, our groupmate had to figure out where to get good quality second-hand clothes, how to price them fairly, and how to tell people about our brand. Our initial plans was to do surveys on thrift shop, lip products (online) and gather used things to sell as preloved. We managed to gather as much as possible and to promote them in our official social medias. However, one challenge we struggle with are was convincing customers to buy preloved clothes, but we used creativity in our marketing to show how buying second-hand is good for the environment.

Working as a team was a big part of this project. We learned how to manage our time, divide tasks, and communicate well with each other. In our team we divides roles into 2 management systems, which is the supplier and the one who handling the media as a promoter. I'm one of the members that in charge for supplying things to sell. Therefore, I  learned that running a business takes a lot of decision-making and flexibility. 

Through Prèamour, I realized that small businesses can make a positive impact on both the environment and the community. This continuous group project has helped me develop important skills and has made me think about how I can use entrepreneurship to create a better future.

In this course, we chose selling preloved items as the main concept of our project. Our goal was to promote a sustainable yet trendy lifestyle by giving new life to our own and others' preloved items. At the same time, we aimed to develop valuable marketing and business skills, gaining hands-on experience in entrepreneurship while advocating for eco-friendly consumer practices.

We were responsible for selecting a selection of preloved items, which included clothes, skincare, makeup and books. Our sources were from our own collections and thrift stores and it was one of our biggest challenges as we had to make sure of the qualities and the prices are appropriate for our target market. Additionally, I also helped with editing pictures for the items to be listed and marketed on the online platforms, such as TikTok and Instagram.

This project deepened my understanding of entrepreneurship, providing valuable insights into the various elements that contribute to building a successful business. Through this experience, I developed a range of skills, from strategic planning and problem-solving to effective communication and customer engagement. Reflecting on the journey, I am proud of the skills I acquired and the practical experiences I have gained. It has been a life-changing experience to work on preloved items as part of this course project. Our goals was to encourage environmentally friendly customer behavior by highlighting the benefits of thrift stores, such as reducing waste, reusing resources and reducing the negative effects of rapid fashion.

This project provided valuable data on entrepreneurship, especially in regard to recognizing market gaps and understanding what customer wants. The process of developing a business plan helped me sharpen my critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

The challenge that I have to face was dealing with the negative image related to used items. For example, used clothes, not everyone can accept and wear the used clothes because they still doubt how the owner use it before, is it clean enough? So I used innovative marketing strategies, such as digital promoting, I aimed to change their perspective and showcase thrift stores as affordable, trendy and eco-friendly.

Overall, this project has inspired me to pursue career opportunities that reflect my interest and handle serious problems. It showed how entrepreneurship may encourage individual and society growth.

In nations with free market economies, the study of entrepreneurship has gained importance. Entrepreneurial development is a key national development agenda item in most nations. Understanding entrepreneurship and its key concerns is necessary. For me, the Foundation of Entrepreneurship Cultivation course has been both thrilling and difficult. It made me see how difficult it is to launch and maintain a firm, a process that calls for careful preparation and execution. I now have a greater knowledge of the complex procedures and perseverance required to begin a business thanks to this training. In the least amount of time, it may provide students with opportunity to start their own firm or make money.

Another crucial element of successful entrepreneurship is teamwork. The program emphasised the importance of collaboration in a company by demonstrating how it may increase productivity and yield outstanding outcomes. To establish a productive and pleasurable work environment, I found that team members need to trust each other and work well together. It opened my eyes to the complexities of starting and running a business, a process that requires meticulous planning and execution. The ability to better understand how the corporate world functions has been one of my biggest takeaways. Through market trend analysis and effective resource management, I have gained knowledge about how companies plan to beat rivals. An entrepreneur must not only possess creative ideas but also be able to adjust and maintain an advantage in ever-changing markets due to the competitive landscape.

Working as a team has become another essential component of successful entrepreneurship. The workshop highlighted the value of teamwork in a business, showing how effective teamwork can boost output and produce remarkable results. In order to create a productive and enjoyable work atmosphere, I discovered that team members must effectively collaborate and have mutual trust.
