The One is the evil Leader of The N.O (New Order). He may seem calm and cool but underneath he has a monstrous personality. He is the one who ordered for Whit and Whisty to be taken to the N.O Reformatory. He believes in perfection without the "powerful" youth

External Conflict

When Wisty and Whit experienced External conflict when they found out they were witches and wizards because Whisty lit on fire and Whit could make objects appear they were confused and surprised. All their life they thought they were normal and now they have magical powers.

Internal Conflict

Whit experienced an Internal conflict when he saw his dead girlfriend and couldn't decide if he was going crazy in his mind or he actually saw Celia and it wasn't his imagination. Whisty experienced Internal Conflict when she is trying to escape the prison and makes a quick decision to walk on the wire to get away or to jump off the building.

The Lesson Learned about People

In this Novel the parents of Wisteria Allgood and

Whitford Allgood always tell them to believe in

themselves. I believe its important for anyone to believe in

themselves because if its not you then who is it?

Significant Passage

They're most afraid of our magic.” (Chapter 96, Page 275)

This quoatation in the book holds high significance because the whole novel is about Revolution and standing up for being different. When Whisty and Whit are coming to this realization they believe the reason for the N.O capturing kids is because they are afraid of change and afraid because the youth are stronger and younger. This quote gives them the motivation to power through and the reason to live another day!
