The artwork I'd say stood out to me the most though was the abstract "The Maze of Isolation". Knowing the subject, and period it was made in, that being the pandemic lockdown, communicated a very consistent and relatable experience to me and I think many others also who lived through these past few troubling years. To me, the piece showed how during lockdown, being in the same room in ones home for so long, day in, day out, bored and melancholy, lead to the abstraction, saturation, and loss of definition of ones surroundings, as shown in the painting, as they became the only thing one would be around or see all day.
