1.     Download the CFETP

2.     Pull the current or legacy CDCs

3.     Create the course folder on the share drive

a.      Setup of the folder based on the file plan

b.     Create folders and documents based on the naming convention

4.     Draft the Course Development Plan (CDP)

5.     Email the CDC writer to introduce myself and to find out the CFM for the course

6.     I email the writer the example and templates for the TRO and TAWs as well as the PowerPoint for filling out the TAW

a.      Request the POIs from the tech school course (if applicable)

7.     Type up the Kickoff meeting agenda

8.     Schedule the kickoff meeting

9.     Start the milestones (which is now the Planner)

a.      Assign stakeholders to the folder

10.  Draft the Analysis Report

a.      Fill out the first 2 pages

b.     Fill out Appendixes A-D

11.  Draft the design guide, completing the first three pages

12.  Conduct the kickoff meeting

13.  Type up the kickoff meeting minutes

1.     After the Kickoff meeting, the CDC writer will receive the CDP for review and route to CFM for signature and the CDC writer signature

a.      The ISS will have the Branch Chief, Superintendent and Director review and sign prior to routing to CDC writer

2.     The CDC writer will return the TRO

3.     Once the TRO is received, the CDC writer should begin submitting the TAWs

Start populating the CDP document 

Start on analysis report beginning with all of the administrative information

Start on the beginning of the design guide (as applicable)

Get TRO ready for CDC writer to complete

Get share drive folders ready

Acquire CFETP if possible

a.      After the TAWs flow in, the ISS will use either the word document or Microsoft powerpoint to map the flow of the module

b.     The ISS will fill the Course Structure table for the modules to match the TRO

c.      The ISS will in Section 3: Course Outline create the tables for each module and lesson to match the chunking of the course using the TRO as a reference

d.     In Section 3, the following items are completed:

                                                    i.     Module 1

                                                  ii.     Module title

                                                iii.     Lesson number

                                                iv.     Lesson title

                                                  v.     Description of the lesson

                                                vi.     Terminal and enabling objectives

                                               vii.     References for the module

                                             viii.     Topic/time allocated/content/specific references are listed

1.     The ISS will begin to design the overall look of the course using Adobe Captivate

2.     If there are photos, audio and/or videos, the script will be listed under the contents column and under the reference column the file location will be listed 

3.     All assessment questions are annotated here as well as in a separate document

                                                ix.     Once the lesson/module has been designed and before any work is done in Captivate, the design guide must go to the CDC writer for review.
