I think this can be division because we can separate 24 into groups. Also how i know this is division is by how is like backwards multiplication because Mr. vonhoyningenhuene said division is almost or is backwards multiplication. I also think this can be division because you started with the total and and end with an answer of how many are in each group like if 24 as the total number and 4 would be how many groups there were and 6 would be for many student or subjects are in each group. We think that this number bond shows division and multiplication by how there is 24 and the number bond and it solves itself.

If you add them up it equals 24. This shows multiplication because it is repreated addition. So if you have 4x6 you are actually counting 6 4 times. So this number bond shows me 4x6 = 24. This shows division by spliting up 24 into 4 equal groups of 6.

This number bond shows division because it has 4 equal groups of 6. It is dividing 24 into 4 groups of 6.Each group of 6 is represented by the circles. So this shows 24/4=6 because there is 4 groups of 6. It is also multiplication because its like 4 circles is the equal groups of the 6. for example, if you use the number sentence 4x6=24 that shows that you have 4 equal groups of 6 which has a total of 24. This is how the number bond shows multiplication and division.

A number bond is a way to combine two numbers to make a bigger or smaller number. A number bond can be the same as a multiplication or division sentence. You can turn a number bond into a division sentence by taking the total and splitting it into groups then answering the question how many/much is in the equal groups individually. A number bond can be a multiplication sentence too, you see there are for groups of 6 and that shows multiplication because in the same way that the times symbol shows it because it is 4 equal groups of 6. It shows division by taking the total and splitting it up into equal groups. This number bond shows 24 in 4 equal groups. Then it has 6 in each equal group. This shows division.

It shows multiplication by when you have 24 total and split them up into 4 equal groups of 6 and thats how it shows multiplication. It shows division because when there is also 24 total you split them up and see how many there are in each group. So you have 6 in each group.
