This will be there first rocket to go nearly 4 days into space. I will be shooting off all by myself. Vostok 3 was one of the two rocket that got set off a day apart. Vostok 3 also conducted several scientific observations and further improvement of the space ship systems, communications (spaceship ground control and spaceship to spaceship), guidance and landing. I feel pretty nervous due to the lack of rockets going to space. When I finally got into the rocket I felt ready to shoot off into space. So, when it became time to lift off all I heard was "ten nine eight" The engines were so loud I felt overwhelmed "three two ONE!!" That's when the rocket started shaking and shaking. Then "BOOM!!" I shot up and before you know it i'm out of the atmosphere into space. My first launch was 8 years ago and now I think it was time for me to do another launch. This launch I didn't feel as nervous but it felt more important because I am not going by myself this time. This launch will be way longer than my last one only being nearly 4 days long. Soyuz 9 will be setting a record of being in space for 18 days. This rocket also felt more important because we will be on a mission to study the physical and mental effects of long-term weightless-ness. In no time at all I was on the rocket ready to blast off into space. After experimenting it soon became lunch time and we ate some space food. The food up here is pretty weird and packaged in bags. The drinks are really fun to drink because we have no gravity so I can drink floating drink. The beds are comfortable but I haven't been sleeping well due to being away from my family though.
