Central Idea:
1. In chemical change, new materials are formed by heating, burning, or mixing. 
2. You generally CAN NOT reverse the change.   
Ex: Making toast is chemical change.  Heat is added to bread.  It is a different color.  It tastes different.  You can't go back to soft bread.

Central Idea:
1. Matter changing states is generally a physical change. 

2. An ice cube can melt into water, boil and turn to steam, and be cooled all the way back down until it freezes again.  I can reverse the change, so it is PHYSICAL.  A new material was NOT created.
