I met Azeet when I was in search of a room-mate in student life. We rented accommodation and started living together.  In a few months, I understand that although we both were engineering aspirants, his level of passion was on another level. I was keen to know why a thing works a certain way and all the info available and if possible do some experiment but mostly with course related things. Azeet had a passion for all new technologies. One could find all available electronics magazines in his rooms and  except examination days found  him working daily a few hours on some gadgets. He was a born engineer. The passion made him a genius who had mastery in multiple fields. If you had some technology related query even for automobiles, you would get authentic knowledge from him.

Time passed on and we became friends. 

Later we choose different paths in our careers. He focused more on Networking and I chose  programming.

After joining TSI, his passion for learning new things brought him into programming and he started writing utility programs for internal use of TSI. Sometimes, he did not have much time to write the whole code by himself in a limited time frame. He contacted me and  I visited TSI Saket and did some projects. I got several offers from him to join TSI and I could not due to hesitation of ruining our friendship. Later around two years ago I joined TSI with understanding that we will keep our personal and professional relationship separate.   

It is difficult to point out when he became brother from friend. In our society, 90% of people know us as brothers.  He was with me to search for the purchase of a flat month after month till finally purchasing the flat. He was with me to find a life partner for me and visited multiple places for this purpose. Finally, on 29th November 20, at 1 AM when I returned home with my wife after marriage without anyone beside me due to this pandemic. He was waiting for us at the door and performed the rituals with his wife for a newly wedded couple.  Although, till that time I had joined TSI and he was my boss. But he was keeping his word of separate personal and professional life. He was a strict boss in professional work but outside the office he was a brother who did not bother to help in fixing household things. Even when the whole world started WFH, office timings were reserved for only professional talks.  He was working on some AI visual recognition programs and sometimes needed some feedback but never called on office working hours since it was non-official work for me.  

25th April was the fateful day which started to bring bad luck in our life. On 25th April bhabhi tested positive and due to non-availability of medicines in store, it took me around four hours to purchase all medicines from different medical stores and hospitals. Medication started the same day but the situation turned bad. We had to wander to get an oxygen cylinder for emergency use with hope that we would return it unused. 1st May at 2.22 AM, you called me to bring the person to fit the oxygen due to low oxygen level. I returned with the person and we kept praying. The morning situation seems stable. But, after a few days we had to shift bhabhi to hospital, till then I also became covid +ve and became too weak to move. You arranged medicines for me. Your health also started to deteriorate . Still, you were caring for us. 

I could not forget the moment, you called me and informed me that your health was not good and you need some rest so on doctor's advice you are going to be admitted to hospital and return in two-three days. Before moving to the hospital, you gave the rest of the medicines to my wife and I saw only your glimpse through an isolated room. After a few days, my health condition also started to  deteriorate, although I told every person that I was OK and tried to engage myself in work, to avoid reaching the news to you. My phone was kept by my wife most of the time on doctor advice.  

My last talk with you was on 13th May. You had  message me on WhatsApp for scanning lungs which I could not read. You were in a very bad situation, still you managed to call me and ask about a CT scan for me for a few minutes. I had never imagined that I would not hear from you after that. I was not getting an update of your health for a few days or only getting an update as stable.  Then the news reached us on that fateful date.  We were not ready to believe the news but messengers were our own.

It is hard to live in the flat whose every item we purchased together, every corner of it filled with your memories. We had many dreams together. Sometimes, it becomes difficult to breathe here. My family is forcing me to stay with them for a few weeks, but I can not. I am waiting for bhabhi to return home. 

You hided your emotions but you did everything which even one's own brother does not do. I could not think of life without you. In future life, we will be born as brothers.
