         <description><![CDATA[<div>The celebration of New Year's was a relatively new phenomenon. The earliest recording of the New Years celebration is believed to be in Mesopotamia in 2000 B.C. and was usually celebrated around the time of  the vernal equinox  around the middle of March. A variety of other dates tied to the seasons were also used by various ancient cultures. It is also one of the oldest celebrated holidays.</div>]]></description>
