Examples- Mediterranean Sea, Black Sea, and Caribbean Sea.
Promote- Living near the coast of the sea benefits you physically, mentally, and spiritually, yet maybe not for large family since no schools would be near by. Although a scientific research shows older people recommend as well as people who love the outdoors. Which come to my first point living near the coast improves the embrace to the outdoors, many activities and exploration to do, also improves stress free environment.
 

Examples- San Francisco Bay and Bay of Bengal are a few examples of the plenty bays in the world.
Prohibit/Inhibit- A few reasons you might want to stay away from bay area like San Francisco goes to one main reason is money, now this falls under things like jobs, travel, or regular activities. It would be hard to sustain your house payments unless you are money loaded, also jobs would be hard to get with massive amount of traffic unless you're on a bike.

Examples- The Mississippi, Saint Lawrence, Danube, Ohio, Thames and Paraná rivers.
Promote- What are the reasons people live near rivers because river provide them with fresh water to drink, and they get fish from the water to. They also use rivers for transportation and to grow crops

Examples- Grand Canyon is a brief example.
Prohibit- If you're into hiking, living outdoors, wildlife. This is a great spot but if not and you're a city person you're way far from home.

Examples-Antelope Canyon, Kings Canyon National Park, and Waimea Canyon
Inhibit- If you love the out doors great, but its fairly always hot and humid. Although, many festivals are fun, you got to see the outside of activities. The Canyon has low unemployment rates and this meaning its a weak economy, also sometimes it not always an attractive setting, in other words its not so pretty.
