The research process may take the form of a six-stage process (Frankfort-Nachmias and Nachmias, 2008; Zikmund, Babin, Carr, & Griffin, 2009) which culminates in the findings being presented, typically in a research report. The following are the problem definition, data collection, the research design, data analysis, measurement and results and findings. The most critical stage in the research process is the problem definition. At this stage the researcher arrives at a clear and specific decision statement, research objectives, research questions and/or research hypotheses​.The unit also stated that a review of literature is a journey of exploration through the literature by systematically searching for, reading, analysing and evaluating the literature on a specific topic. The general purpose is to get a broad understanding of literature as you seek to develop and fine tune your research problem.
