There are 7 main types of symbolism. There is color symbolism, weather symbolism, objects symbolism, setting symbolism, lighting symbolism, positioning symbolism, and camera angle symbolism. Color symbolism is when authors or directors use colors to represent emotions and to identify certain characters. Weather symbolism is when a change in weather in the scene foreshadows something for our characters. Object symbolism is when certain items represnt specific meanings. Settings symbolism is when a certain place to represent  somewhere else. Lighting symbolism is when the direction of the light represents importance or good and bad. Positioning symbolism is where a character or object is located represents its importance. Camera Angle symbolism is when the chosen angle or zoom represents importance or power.The reason for doing this project is to analyze symbolism and to show how to use symbolism.

At 0:24 Katniss is wearing a red dress which indicates passion.

At 0:31 President Snow is wearing a black suit.

At 0:38 some of the other tributes are wearing black and also looking at her like she is a meal.

At 0:41 Haymitch is wearing blue with a depressive  expression which indicates depression.

At 1:02 the cornucopia is black which represents death becasue people die there.

At 1:09 there is a green tree in the background which represents new life. 

At 1:16 there is fire that is color red which indicates hell.

At 1:18 there is water that is blue which means life.

At 0:05 there are a lot of peacekeepers wearing mask which indicates that they are undetermind people.

At 0:45 Katniss is going to stairs which will send her into the deathly Hunger Games which represents hell.

At 1:03 Katniss is in the tube for entering the Hunger Games which means trapped by circumstance.

At 0:34 there is a window behind Katniss which represents imprisonment.

At 0:29 it is cloudy which probably means our protaginist is in danger.

At 0:15 the weather is sunshine which means peaceful.

At 0:22 there is a spolight in Katnisss which represents that she is the most important thing right now.

At 0:30 there is a side light on President Snow's face which means that he can't be trusted.

At 0:11 the camera angle is zoomed in on Katniss' face which shows that she is important in that scene.

At 0;12 the camera angle is zoomed out which shows the action that happened at the reaping.

At 0:29 the camera angle is from below which shows that Katniss is dominant.

At 0:34 the camera angle is over the shoulder which shows point of view change.

At 1:02 the camera angle is a pan shot that shows all the surroundings in that the small angle

At 0:47 the Mockingjay pin on Katniss' jacket is in the foreground which means that it is very important.
