Many people on the hunt for Land

1843, close to 1000 people left their home and set off west with their family in hope they could snag some cheap land. They traveled on the Oregon Trail, which started in Missouri and went through the Rocky Mountains to what is now Oregon. The trip was hard, but by the end of the 1850s, thousands of pioneers had settled in Oregon. The people who moved out west weren't only hunting for land, but they saw it as an opportunity to make a ton of money. These landowners started raising the price of their land knowing more and more people wanted to move out west too. These trails have expanded our knowledge of the other land, and what is to expect from it, so far things are looking up.

Were about halfway there, it's been a very hard trip about a dozen deaths so far, none of my family though, thankfully. I have had to make the most of the environment with most of our food gone, or gone bad. So I found some wild bison and beaver, and had to skin them for clothing. It might be a rough trip, people may die, but the end reward is a whole life of riches.

I am writing to you today not to complain, but as a warning. There has recently been a race for land with thousands of people packing their stuff, and heading west. This is a big risk because for all we know there could be nothing out there, and you could end your life for that. The trails you will follow are treacherous with wild animals trying to hunt you, rocky terrain, and worst of all, disease. This does not seem worth it for me, and I hope it concern you too, thank you for taking your time to read this, and I hope you stay safe.
