China's relation ship with Australia is a relationship of lots of trading with Australia exporting lots of raw materials such as wood, metal, meat, iron ore and wheat. all of these raw materials are then turned into other things such as phones laptops and the meat and wheat is consumed in china because they do not have a big supply of meat.

China's growth over the previous years has been slowly =declining but when people thought it wasn't going to stop it plateaued at 6.9 percent GDP (gross domestic product) which is more than half of what china usually has china usually has Around 14 percent GDP so a decrease like this means that china's economy was growing to fast and people predicted that this would happen because of the dramatic growth it has had and most economy's that have that experience dramatic growth but then the economy drops dramatically because the economy cant sustain the huigh level economy.

This graph shows the growth of china's GDP from 2014-2017

as you can see in 2014 the GDP is at 7.4 in January then it rises to 7.5 in July but then it drops to 7.1 in January 2015 then it go;s back up to 7.2 so you would think that it was just a temporary instability but then it plateaus at 7 from march to July then it starts to plummet down to 6.7 and then plateaus for 9 months and then go's up to 6.8 at the start of 2017 so from this graph you can put together that china is going through a period of recession which is when the economy go's up to fast then is unsustainable so it go's back down.
