P11: In paragraph 11 John de Crevecoeur talks about how people that have been taught to destroy will always destroy and they will be the downfall of nations. John de Crevecoeur in the second part writes that a sucessful nation will cost a lot, mainly blood. In the last part John writes that no matter what type of government you have as a nation it will have the same fate whether is because of outside forces or forces that are from the inside that nation will end. He writes that no matter what, someone will always be better than you.

P12: Why would people want to live in overcrowded cities where they don't have enough resources for everybody and their voices carry little weight in politics? Both the woods and the city are evil but the evil in the woods is lesser than that of the city. When will people stop being born in these cities that are rampant with crime, disease, suffering, and other bad happenings?

P13: John de Crevecoeur apologizes for all of the sad things that had happened in his letter. Then he was walking and the air felt aggitated as there was a sudden shower and a rough voice speaking in monosyllables. He came to discover a cage hanging from the limbs of a tree and as he drew closer he had come to realize that there was a man in the cage who was being tortured by birds of prey. John felt sorry for the man and started to say that no human being deserved to be treated in such a manner. He tells the man that if he had a bullet in his gun he would put him out of his misery then moves onto his dining destination and when he had arrived he had learned that the man was there because he had killed the plantation overseer.

8 - Crevecoeur tells a story about people not wanting to be told what to do with their slaves. He then says that people think slavery is fine, simply because it has been done everywhere, but then speaks about how awful it really was and he explains how unfair it is that we are taking them from their lives of freedom. He also wishes that there was some great power that could keep human morals in check.
9 - 10 - You have been voted off the island.

Group 4: This definitely shows that this letter has a different point of view in America than the third letter, which was heavily sweet and painted America as the best place to go to.
Group 3: People tend to do what's socially right or accepted, not morally right; if something is wrong, it's hard to stand up and point it out when it's socially acceptable and 'everyone else does it'. People need to start following their own mindset and what is morally right, instead of following everyone else, even when it is not morally right.
Group 2: I remember learning in 101 and history last year, men dominating women was the norm, it always has been in history. It's very frustrating because men are not superior to women and I don't understand how or why that ever was normal

First Part 5: If slaves are allowed to have children, it’ll only cause more trouble for the fathers. Instead of worry about only himself he now has a family. “They have no time to tenderly care for their helpless offspring or enjoy the delight of being a Parent

`

Middle part 5: You are born into your social class. Men were to control the women and children, and were brutal when it came to punishment. Had to be cautious of slaves turning on you in your sleep.

End part 5: The trip to the West-Indies isn’t the best for the slaves but after they finish their work for their masters, the land is cheaper here. It’s possible that they had a good relationship with their master.

Paragraph 7: Goes on to explain that he doesn’t understand why everyone isn’t treated the same. “Is it really true that those blacks are incapable of feeling spurs of emulation - (Basically to have goals) - Then explains they have the same hearts as english men.

No methods have been made to rescue or give rights to the slaves. Everything that their “Masters” do to them are just fueling hatred for the americans.
