         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Battle of Hundred Slain<br>Red Cloud, chief of the natives, unsuccessfully appealed to the whites. Crazy Horse, a warrior, ambushed the whites and killed 80 men, calling it the hundred slain. The whites called this battle the Fetterman Massacre.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Buffalo Killed Off<br>The natives surrounded their entire lives around the Buffalo in the great plains. They used then for food, shelter, fuel,  and clothing. By 1890, one thousand of the 65 million remained. This was a huge blow to the natives because they knew nothing else to live off of. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Massacre at Wounded Knee<br>#50 natives were rounded up by the Seventh Cavalry of the US and brought to wounded creek in South Dakota. They were told to drop all of their weapons, An unknown shot was let off and the seventh cavalry killed 300 unarmed natives, including children. This brought the war to an end.</div>]]></description>
