An electronic warrant is a type of virtual warrant that doesn't need to be obtained physically. This may be useful when the officer needs the warrant quickly as it eliminates the need to go and get a physical warrant. So the officer could keep their position or get a warrant sent while traveling to their destination. Also useful if the officer is in the middle of no where.
