The tea ceremony is called Chanoya or simply Ocha in Japanese. The process isn't just about drinking tea but it is about aesthics preparing a bowl of tea, that comes from the heart.

The tea ceremony was inspired by Confucianism and Zen-Buddhism. Zen-Buddhism taught the importance of moral behavior, meditation, the development of discipline and inner strength and enlightenment. Confucianism taught the need for order and for everyone to know there place in society.
